Black Forest Gateaux Smoothie Recipe

One of the most delicious ways to enjoy your mushroom powder is in a smoothie. Who doesn’t love starting the day with cherries and chocolate? Here is what you’ll need. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries
  • 1 tbsp nut butter (almond, cashew, pumpkin seed–your choice)
  • 1-2 tbsp Cacao 
  • 1/2  tsp mushroom powder (Reishi, Lions Mane, Turkey Tail, Chaga, Cordyceps, 5 Defenders, any of these will work)
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, oat, cashew–whatever you prefer)
  • Handful of ice

Instructions:

  1. Place ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth. 
  3. Poor in a glass and enjoy!

Optional Tips:

If cherries aren't available, try strawberries or mango for a fruity variation. You can also toss in a handful of fresh greens (like spinach) for an added nutrient boost.
